Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 24, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Biogr.id — the Biogr.id website and dashboard (the “Platform”) and the Social Feed Sync & Link to Post WordPress plugin (the “Plugin”), together the “Service.” The Service is operated by ITXI, SA (“ITXI,” “we,” “us”). Installing the Plugin, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service means you accept these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you don’t agree with these Terms, don’t use the Service. Using it — installing the Plugin, connecting an account, generating an API Key — means you’ve read, understood, and accepted them, along with our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract where you live. If you’re accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other organisation, you’re confirming you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that organisation from here on.

You also need to meet Instagram’s and Facebook’s own age and eligibility rules. We can’t give you access to accounts or data that Meta won’t.

3. The Service

Biogr.id connects an Instagram account (via Facebook) to a WordPress site, so you can link individual posts and reels to WordPress content and build a “link in bio” page. Two tiers, per connected WordPress site:

  • Free — up to 3 linked Instagram posts, a single WordPress post type, and Biogr.id branding on your page.
  • Premium — unlimited linked posts, support for multiple WordPress post types, and the option to remove Biogr.id branding, for $49.99/year.

We keep developing the Service, so features change. We may add, alter, or remove functionality — including what’s in the Free tier. If a change materially reduces what a paid tier does, we’ll give you reasonable notice first. Changes forced on us by third parties are covered in §5.

4. Accounts and API Keys

You generate an API Key from the dashboard and enter it into the Plugin. Keep it to yourself — you’re responsible for anything that happens under your account, plugin-side or dashboard-side. If you think your key’s been exposed, email support@biogr.id right away and revoke it from the dashboard.

Keep your account email current. It’s where we send renewal reminders, security notices, and anything else covered by §16.

5. Third-Party Integrations

Using the Service means connecting Instagram through Facebook and running it on a WordPress site you control. Instagram, Facebook, and WordPress have their own terms, and we don’t control them — if Meta changes its API or restricts access, we may have to change or pull a feature with no notice.

Instagram, Facebook, and Meta are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. WordPress is a trademark of the WordPress Foundation. Biogr.id isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

6. Subscriptions and Payment (Premium)

Premium is $49.99 per year per connected WordPress site, billed annually. Prices are exclusive of VAT, sales tax, and any other tax we’re required to collect — those are calculated and added at checkout based on where you are.

It renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle at whatever the current price is, unless you cancel first. If we change the price, we’ll give you reasonable notice before it applies to your next renewal.

Payments are processed through Stripe. We don’t see or store your full card number on our servers. If a payment fails, we may retry it and suspend Premium features until it clears.

Subscription fees are otherwise non-refundable, including for partial or unused periods.

If you’re a consumer (buying for yourself, not for a business), you have 14 days from the start of your subscription to cancel for a full refund. Email support@biogr.id. Note that you’re asking us to start the Service immediately, so if you cancel within those 14 days we may deduct a proportionate amount for the period you had access. After 14 days, the non-refundable rule above applies. Nothing here affects your other statutory rights.

7. Cancellation, Downgrades, and Your Data

Cancel anytime from the dashboard. It takes effect at the end of the billing period you’re already in, not immediately.

You can delete your account from the dashboard. When you do, we revoke your API Keys and delete or anonymise your account data within 30 days, except where we have to keep records longer for tax, accounting, or legal reasons. The Privacy Policy has the detail. Deactivating the Plugin on your site doesn’t delete anything on our side — delete the account if that’s what you want.

8. Acceptable Use

Don’t use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe someone else’s rights;
  • try to get into accounts, systems, or data that aren’t yours;
  • disrupt or degrade the Service for other users;
  • resell or share your Platform access or API Keys with third parties (this is about hosted access — redistributing the Plugin’s code is governed by its own licence, see §9);
  • push unlawful or harmful content through it.

Violating this gets your account suspended or closed.

9. Intellectual Property

The Plugin. The Plugin is released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2+) — the same licence as WordPress itself. We hold the copyright in it, but the GPL is what sets your rights to the code: you can run it, study it, change it, and redistribute it on those terms. Nothing in these Terms cuts into that, and where these Terms and the GPL disagree about the Plugin’s code, the GPL wins.

Trademarks are the exception, because a copyright licence never covers them: the Biogr.id and ITXI names and logos stay ours, so a modified copy can’t go out under our branding.

The Platform. The rest isn’t open source — the dashboard, the API, the hosted infrastructure behind them, and our branding. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to reach the Platform through your account while that account is in good standing. Don’t resell that access, reverse-engineer the API, or scrape it.

Your content. You own your own content: your posts, your links, your configuration. Using the Service, you’re giving us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, and process that content only to run the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. That licence extends to the providers we use to run it (hosting, payments, email) and ends when you delete the content or your account.

Feedback. If you send us feedback or feature ideas, we can use them without owing you anything or keeping them confidential.

10. Indemnification

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the Service — content you pushed through it, rights you infringed, laws you broke, or a breach of these Terms — you’ll cover our reasonable losses, damages, and legal costs from it. We’ll tell you about the claim promptly and let you take the lead on the defence, and we won’t settle it without your agreement.

This doesn’t apply if you’re a consumer.

11. Termination

Stop anytime: deactivate the Plugin, cancel your subscription if you have one, delete your account if you want it gone (§7).

We can suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or the law requires it — we’ll tell you when we reasonably can. If we close your account without you having broken these Terms, we’ll refund the unused part of anything you’ve prepaid.

Closing an account ends your access to the Platform, and your API Keys stop working. It doesn’t touch your GPL rights in the Plugin’s code (§9) — you just won’t have a Platform for it to connect to.

Sections 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 16 survive termination.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranties, express or implied — not merchantability, not fitness for a particular purpose, not non-infringement. We don’t promise it’ll run uninterrupted or error-free, and we don’t control whether Instagram or Facebook keep their APIs working.

Your WordPress site and its backups are yours to look after. We’re not a backup service.

If you’re a consumer, this section doesn’t cut into rights you have by law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows it, ITXI isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost data, lost revenue, lost goodwill — from using the Service.

Our total liability for any claim caps at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if you’re on the Free tier, whichever is greater.

None of this limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from the Service.

Before starting proceedings, email support@biogr.id and give us 30 days to try to sort it out with you.

If you’re a consumer, you can also bring proceedings in the country where you live, and nothing in this section takes away the protections of your local consumer law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For anything material, we’ll post a notice here and update the Effective Date at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using the Service after that means you’ve accepted the change.

16. General

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service, and they replace anything said or written before.

Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

No waiver. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. We may transfer these Terms to a successor if the business is sold, merged, or reorganised. You can’t transfer yours without our written consent.

No third-party rights. Nobody other than you and us can enforce these Terms. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 doesn’t apply.

Notices. We’ll reach you at the email on your account; reach us at support@biogr.id. Email counts as writing.

Events outside our control. We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by things we can’t reasonably control — third-party API changes and outages, network or hosting failures, or acts of government.

No partnership. These Terms don’t make either of us the other’s agent, partner, or employee.
